Until recently this section was devoted almost entirely to helping potential broadband users lobby the providers of infrastructure to provide broadband ADSL availability to their area.
Take it's reincarnation as a sign of how much the broadband landscape has changed over the last twelve months. Whereas previously, exchanges had to reach a trigger level before they were enabled, now all exchanges (minus a handful dotted around the region) have a date upon which they are guaranteed to go live. And it's thanks, in part, to campaigns like emidlands. Communities and other small groups of people coming together to show the big players that their needs are just as important as those of people living in big cities.
Within this section you'll now find a different set of resources to help you make the final step to getting connected. Whether you’re looking to firm up the final activation date of your local exchange, research self installation or just find out how easy its been for others to connect, its all here.
