"Broadband has definitely benefited our company. Everything can be done so much quicker and far more efficiently," said IT Manager, Ricky Routledge.
Frudd utilise its broadband connection in a number of different areas. The main reason for making the change to broadband was due to the fact they wanted to host their own web and email service. This feature enables the team and large customers base to access information both quickly and easily. Changes to the company website are made in-house and therefore as often as possible. The high-speed internet connection also makes it possible for consultants who are on the road to utilise a virtual private network (VPN). A virtual private network allows access to the company system from a remote computer via the internet; it is only feasible with a broadband connection.
When it came to installing the new connection, Frudd found the whole process painless. "It was just one easy phone call," said Ricky. " I know some companies are put off by the technological aspect of changing their connection but you really don't have to know the ins and outs to make the change," he explained.
Frudd specialise in four-aspects of construction including reactive maintenance, refurbishment, design and build. Having a fast internet connection has made business life far more efficient, "less time wasted waiting for files, researching new areas and keeping in constant touch with all our customers and suppliers, " said Ricky.
Frudd also believe that installing broadband was excellent value for money, although there is the initial outlay the monthly flat rate fee per month regardless of the amount of time on the internet makes it cost-effective.
Established over 35 years ago, Frudd is based in Arnold, Nottinghamshire and has a regional office in Northamptonshire.
